There are a few prerequisites to be considered before you sign up for this course:

Web hosting
You will need a web hosting account--because Joomla needs to be installed on a web server. It is highly recommended that you use the web hosting company below; seeing as I will be using their control panel in the videos to show you how to install Joomla and change various settings. However, if you already have a Joomla enabled web host, you can use that one.

Internet Connection
A broadband internet connection. Such as ADSL. These video's are not huge! None of them are over 6 MB individually. This means you do not need to worry about bandwidth data caps (if you still have such a thing... like we South Africans do). But to most international users you do not need to worry about this at all.
Computer compentency
A basic level of computer knowledge is required. You should at least know:
- How to open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome)
- How to navigate web pages in a web browser.
- How to install a programme.
- How to copy and paste from Notepad, Microsoft Word or any other word processing programme.
- How to navigate to different folders and files on your computer!
